Modular Electrically Connected Cable Assembly , with a communication channel (inside cable) is designed for horizontal directional drilling using a telemetry system. It was designed for deep hole wire line applications, with its strong tool joints, high quality friction-welded and special heat treated steel, the rods are excel in directional drilling applications.
Φ73mm and Φ70mm MECCA drill rod have maximum working torque of 6000N·m and have excess to accomplish in-seam directional borehole up to 1000 meters. While, Φ89mm rod has a maximum working torque of 12000N·m and are suitable to drill borehole depth up to 2000 meters. The rods allow the driller to receive real time survey data, including directional drill data and sampling data of drilled formation.

MWD Drill Pipe Scope of application:
While drilling survey drill pipe is generally required to be constructed in a complete coal seam (f ≥ 1) or a stable rock stratum (f ≤ 6); it is mainly used for the construction of gas drainage borehole and water exploration borehole in short horizontal and long-distance underground coal mine, and also used for the construction of directional borehole such as ground and tunnel near horizontal engineering borehole.

4.The inner pipe and joint of drill pipe have good sealing performance and high drill pipe stability protection cap shall be worn in time to keep the inside of the drill pipe clean and prevent dirt such as coal dust from entering the polluted steel joint;

MWD Drill Pipe Precautions:

1. Before using the drill pipe, check whether the plastic joint of the drill pipe is loose, deformed or cracked to ensure that the sealing ring of the plastic joint is intact, the drill pipe thread, plastic joint and steel joint are clean, and the reducing spring is firm and reliable;
2. Before connecting the drill pipe, the thread grease must be applied on the thread surface of the drill pipe joint, and the special lubricating grease for the wireline drill pipe must be applied on the sealing ring of the plastic male joint. Control the make-up speed ≤ 25R / min in the process of connecting the drill pipe;
3. During drilling construction, the drilling track shall be kept smooth to avoid large corners. The bending strength of borehole inclination angle is controlled at 3 ° / 6m, and the bending strength of azimuth is controlled at 2 ° / 6m;
4. When unloading the drill pipe, control the shackle speed ≤ 25R / min, and ensure the power head return distance ≥ 100mm, so as to prevent the thread of the drill pipe joint from biting or stripping;
5. After the drill pipe is unloaded and the water flow in the drill pipe is dried, the screw thread.
