1. The speed and torque of the power head should meet the needs of the drilling process. During the drilling process, the rotational speed and torque required by the drill bit vary according to the nature of the stratum being drilled, the diameter of the drill bit, and the rules of the drilling method. Therefore, the speed and torque of the power head are required to be adjustable, and the adjustment range should be adapted to the drilling process used by the drilling rig.
2. The power head should have a reversal speed to meet the needs of handling accidents and special auxiliary work.
3. The drive gear and bearing of the power head should be well lubricated during the drilling process.
4. The diameter of the through hole of the main shaft of the power head should be matched with the drill pipe of the drilling rig to meet the requirement that the drill pipe can be loaded and unloaded before and after the power head.
5. The power head should rotate smoothly, with little vibration and noise.
6. The chuck should hold the drill pipe firmly and reliably. After the slips and the drill pipe are worn, the clamping force can be adjusted and compensated.
The design of the transmission system of Drilling rig power head is the key to the power head design, which is directly related to the performance and external dimensions of the power head. There are various transmission schemes for the transmission system, such as: one-stage internal gear transmission and one-stage external gear transmission, three-stage external gear transmission, planetary reducer and one-stage external gear transmission, etc. When designing the power head of the coal mine tunnel drilling rig, it should not only meet the requirements of the design performance parameters, but also try to be small in size and light in weight, which is convenient for underground transportation. Considering that the planetary reducer has the characteristics of compact structure, large transmission ratio, and can simplify the transmission system, after many optimization designs, the transmission system finally adopts the transmission scheme of motor-planetary reducer-helical gear transmission-spindle. In the structural design, the planetary reducer is used as an independent component, which not only facilitates the lubrication of the planetary gear train, but also facilitates the maintenance or replacement of the underground planetary reducer. The planetary reducer is connected to the mounting plate of the planetary reducer at the rear end of the power head box with hexagon socket screws. Through the transition of the mounting plate of the planetary reducer, the interference between the planetary reducer and the tapered bearing at the rear end of the main shaft is avoided, and the small size can be reduced as much as possible. The center distance between the gear shaft and the main shaft reduces the volume and mass of the power head box.
